Dr. Denisa Cepica Angel
Dr. Cepica graduated from Dalhousie University in 2002. After she completed her Residency, she worked at the Dalhousie University Teaching Family Medicine Clinic. She has been practicing at Fall River Family Practice since 2008. Dr. Cepica is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Medical Society of NS, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NS, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Dr. Elaine Davies
Dr. Davies graduated from Dalhousie University in 2012 and went on to do her residency at Dalhousie based in Saint John, NB. In January 2020, she and her family moved from NB, where she had been practicing for over 5yrs. She joined Fall River Family Practice in place of Dr. Cindy Forbes. She has a special interest in Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine, specifically arthritis care and joint injections, as well as antenatal mental health. In February of 2022 she became Clerkship Director for Family Medicine and shares her time between clinic and teaching responsibilities.

Dr. Jonathan Fox
Dr. Fox received his medical training and experience in Ottawa, Halifax and Texas. He not only has a part-time family practice but is also a full time physician at the Nova Scotia Integrated Chronic Care Service. He has a particular passion for Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Brittany Julian
Dr. Julian grew up in Nova Scotia. She attended McMaster University where she completed medical school, Family Medicine residency and a Masters of Science in Health Research Methodology. She has been practicing family medicine since 2014 and joined FRFP in August 2021 in place of Dr. Mike Fleming. She provides care to patients of all ages, with particular interest in preventative & geriatric medicine, and medical teaching.

Dr. Farah Kapur
Farah Kapur grew up in Nova Scotia. She attended Dalhousie University for her undergraduate degree, and began her medical school at Dalhousie as well. She graduated from Medicine in 1994, and Family Medicine in 1996 from the University of Manitoba. She has worked in Fall River Family Practice since 1997, and enjoys working with a wide variety of patients. She has a special interest in pediatrics and women's health and promotes achieving a heathy life through taking care of the mind and the body. She has an interest in mindfulness and meditation as well.

Dr. Amy MacFarlane
Dr. MacFarlane got her MD from the University of British Columbia and has been practicing medicine since 2004. She joined the team in 2011 and has a special interest in Sports Medicine. She does joint injections, IUD insertions and minor skin excisions for our patients. She is also a Dalhousie Family Medicine Preceptor and often works with medical students.

Dr. Lisa MacIntyre
Dr. MacIntyre has been practicing medicine for over 25 years, 15 of which have been here at Fall River Family Practice. She has served as a Dalhousie Faculty of Med. CME-Community Hospital rep for Halifax. She has also been an Atlantic Canada Board Rep and VP with the Foundation for Medical Practice Education.

Dr. ANSON ALVIS
Dr. Anson Alvis graduated from the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba in 2015 and completed his residency in Rural Family Medicine in Hendersonville, Western North Carolina at Mountain Area Health Education Center in 2022. He was born in Bermuda and grew up on the Island of St Vincent and the Grenadines he has spent time living in Grenada and Venezuela in addition to Cuba and the United States. He has an interest in full-scope family medicine, minor procedures and migrant health and is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing Squash, trying new things of all types and meeting new people.

Dr. Sarah MacDonald
Dr. MacDonald Completed her undergraduate medical degree at Dalhousie University and her family medicine residency at Dalhousie University.

Dr. Vanessa Slayter
Dr. Slayter graduated from Dalhousie University and then did her Residency through Queen's University. She started practicing shortly after graduating here at Fall River Family Practice back in 2017. Dr. Slayter has a particular passion for maternal and infant care.

Dr. Maria Yorke
Dr. Yorke is a Nova Scotian who graduated Medical School from
McMaster University. She lives locally with her young family.

Ceilidh Wong, RN
Ceilidh got her BScN at Dalhousie University in 2012, and has been practicing for 8 years. Following her graduation she worked in Northern BC as a labour and delivery Nurse, before moving back home to Nova Scotia. She joined the team in September 2019 and completed the Family Practice Nurse Course in June 2019.

Juliet Thornton, RN
Juliet received her BSCN at Dalhousie and her Masters Degree at the University of Calgary. She has been practicing for 21 years and is currently a Family Practice Nurse for the NSHA. Her areas of specialty include women's health, community health, obesity and chronic disease management. She has also served as a member of the Family Practice Nurse Steering Committee for Capital Health and headed a research study on "Social Presence in Labour."
